Peninsula Pelješac
Pelješac is the biggest peninsula after Istrien at the Adriatic coast.
From the isthmus at Ston up to the cape Lovišce in the northwest is the peninsula 65 kilometers long.
The northern areas are covered by jaw-forests and macchia, while fruits, vegetables and vines thrive in the warmer southern areas. The inhabitants deal mainly with viticulture (the known Dingac 'Postup').
Also the salt-works and oyster-breeding are known. The most beautiful part of the peninsula is the southern coast between Viganj and Orebic. Along a road the peninsula connects the places with the Adriatic way.
